My name is Anita Kelley
I mostly live a quiet and peaceful life with my husband and life partner of 40-plus years, Lewis Kelley, on our 15-acre farm. I am a mother of three grown children, and the grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren. I am a retired teacher-educator, and currently a part-time farm-hobbyist and business owner. I enjoy spending time with God, gardening, caring for my two dogs, and tending to my 20-plus chickens. Most days, you may find me either in the garden or in the kitchen. Often, you can find me working alongside my husband, taking on a DIY home or farm makeover project. Our latest projects were replacing our collapsing deck and reorganizing our garage. The picture to the right is a rare opportunity we had to escape the farm on a week-long trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, during the cold month of January. The most excitement we have in our lives has been our dog Count. I have tried to chronicle his adventures on my farm website blog, if you care to take a look. He has been a handful, with the many things he has gotten himself into. I do need to update his escapades with several more incidents.
