Note: I did not write down the day or time of this dream, but it was memorable, and I knew in my spirit it was from the Lord.

In the dream, I was driving my truck at night down a dark dirt road, and I was going at normal speed. Suddenly, I turned right at a fork in the road, which was unfamiliar. And I said to myself, Oh no, I did not want to go this way. I made a mistake. Why did I turn this way? Realizing I had taken a wrong turn, I tried to stop the truck by hitting the brakes.  I intended to back up and get back on the main road.  However, the truck would not stop. The brake pedal was malfunctioning.

The truck continued to roll forward at the same speed I was traveling before I veered off the main road.  I could not see anything else but blackness beyond the car lights. I then began to panic a bit, but was not afraid.  Suddenly, the truck's lights exposed what was just ahead: it was a cliff.  I had made a wrong turn, headed straight for a cliff.  I thought I did not see any road signs, and if a cliff was there, why were there not any concrete barriers in place?

In a flash, I realized that I was destined to fall over this cliff.  The truck continued to move forward, and I continued to hit the pedal.  At this point, I thought I should be going over this cliff in a second, and sure enough, I felt the front of the truck rolling over and begin to descend straight down. I was not afraid but thought I should at least be seeing my life flash in front of me, because surely, I was headed to my death.

I braced myself for some type of impact.  Shouldn’t I have felt the feeling of falling, but I did not? I waited, thinking, shouldn’t I be hitting the ground soon?  I suddenly realized I was only halfway over the cliff. I felt as if I was floating, not falling.  Then I felt the presence of my Lord Jesus. At that point, knowing he was with me the whole time. He caught the truck as it fell and prevented it from dropping completely over the cliff.  I woke up, and the dream ended.

The word of the Lord came to me as I went about my usual day’s activities.

The Lord was reassuring me that it was ok to move forward with what I thought I was hearing from him. In my quiet time, I had been praying and asking him about hearing his voice. “Did I really hear his voice?”  My faith was weak; was I really hearing his voice?  I had been asking Him about this for a while.  The Lord told me I did not have confidence in what I heard. That I need not be afraid to move forward with what I thought I was hearing. When I take a turn that was not in his will or sinned, he would be there to catch me and get me back on the right road, his path, his will.

Father's Notes:

The more time I spend with the Lord, the clearer his voice is

I am being taught to wait on him, hear him, and obey him.

Bottom line…. don’t worry about taking a wrong turn. When time with my Lord is FIRST…He then becomes the driver, not me. AMEN!

As I wrote out this dream, the Lord revealed some truths regarding the truck lights and the darkness. We walk by faith, not by sight.  We only see what the Light (Jesus by the Holy Spirit) reveals to us. Not necessarily seeing the whole picture. We cannot see into the darkness unless we reflect the light. We cannot reflect the light unless we abide in the light or connect to the light source, which is Jesus.

Please take this to the Lord for confirmation and a deeper understand for yourself
