Fear, What If?

An enigma of my imagination, or is it for real  The "What if?" of life  I swallowed its pill  It pounces on my emotions, taking charge of my life Keeping me in check and causing much strife  Dread is its partner  Anxiety it's friend  All shouting  Calamity, Calamity, Come on in!  I am afraid to go, Afraid to try Afraid to move, perhaps I'll die  Afraid to see, afraid to grow Afraid to change, afraid to know.  Afraid to love, afraid to cry Afraid of truth, so I'll just lie.  A
