Awaken

Awaken, lost and weary soul

Remind me of promises my savior has told

Spirit, live in me, love through me

Create what originally should be

Great is my need, limited by my understanding

Your voice I long to hear, my constant abiding

Jesus, allow me no choice.

Set my feet to your path; tune my ear to your voice

Steady my walk, my stride, my gait

Seeking your face, with no restraint

Gift wisdom, knowledge, mercy, and grace

My mission, my life, what I embrace

Awaken me Holy Spirit, my comforter-guide

I slumber not; with you by my side

My heart, my will, my way

I surrender, to begin the day

Oh, Awaken lost and weary soul
