Adonai:

Greek: kyrios, Lord

Hebrew: adon, Lord, my Master (YHWH)

Aramaic: mar, Lord, mari, my Lord

~~~~~~~
Adonai, let not my heart grow weary,
Let not my song grow faint
Lead me in the path of your righteousness,
Stand me still as I wait
Grant me an audience,
For in your presence is peace and hope
My assurance and my rest are in you alone
There is no Kingdom greater, higher, or wider
Search near and far, deep, and long
With you is where I belong.
There is no love richer or sweeter than His
He gave His Son so that I may live.
Who can compare, who dares to measure
The depth and width and height of His love
I serve at His pleasure
Sit within the bounds of His presence
As hope pierces your heart, breathe in His essence.
Adonai’s wisdom imparts His precepts, concepts, and ways
Expelling falsehoods, lies, and deceptions that lead me astray
In Him, I find mercy and grace.
Removing and forgiving each sin,
As far as the East is from the West,
They are distanced from Him.
My hours can turn into days
With Adonai, His peace will pass my understanding
Time has no limit when looking into His gaze
His refining fire removes all corrosion and dross
Sit, be still, and receive the gift of affliction and sorrow
Creating beauty from ashes, ensuring my soul's redemption,
redeeming the loss.
Refining reveals rare and precious stones
Hidden beneath fallow ground, a hardened heart,
broken and alone.
Marvel at His majesty, His honor, glory, and reign
Hold on to your breath, for in His presence
I will never be the same
Adonai, Adonai, Adonai
