As the sun is made for the day,

and the moon is made for the night

So, I am created to see You;

even without light

As the wind is made to blow,

and the clouds are made to rain

So, I am created to serve You;

sometimes enduring pain

As birds are made to sing,

and the wolf is made to howl

So, I am created to praise You;

loving You out loud

As the eagle mates for life,

and the dove does the same

So, I am created to love You;

forever with You I remain

As dry grass needs the morning dew,

and the deer thirst for water

So, I am created to need You;

hour after hour

As the ant follows an invisible path,

and the mole, blind, knows where to go

So, I am created to walk with You;

trusting to just follow

As the flower parades its beauty and splendor,

and the jewel sparkles with glee

So, I am created to be clothed by You;

not with pride but humility

As the cricket chirps when the sun goes down,

and the robin tweets in the morn

So, I am created to commune with You;

all-the-day long

As the lion despises the hyena,

and a buzzard a living soul

So, I am created to disdain my sin;

willing to let it go

As each creature is made to have

its own unique device

I am created to make a choice;

recognizing God’s plan is precise

As the Son of man laid down his life,

to take it again

So, I am created to die with Him;

crucifying the flesh, again, and again

As You loved the world and gave

Your only Son; truly a sacrifice

So, I am created to love in return;

the Son You call the Christ.
