God's Refining Fire

Abba, King of the Universe, Maker of All.
every creature great and small
I bow the knee and throw down my crown.
expose my heart, break up this fallow ground
Set me on the altar, the altar of fire
Burn all chaff, dross, and ire
Heal this brokenness and crudeness of sin;
revealing the person you created within
Remove all pretense, posturing, and pose.
ridding me of stumbling-blocks which impose
Humble me so that I may sup;
At the table you prepared, fill my cup.

Smelting is a process that extracts a pure metal from its ore by heating it with other materials in a furnace (The Refiner's Fire)
Purifying Gold (Purifying our Hearts) begins by first crushing ore (carnal man):
The raw material is an unsaved carnal human being. Our hearts begin to be crushed (disappointed) by the things of the world, life, decisions we make, circumstances, and life pressures. God uses our circumstances, decisions, and people to humble us, to guide us, and lead us to him. Only if we have ears to hear and eyes to see can we understand this.
Melting the mixture with fluxes: Trials, temptations, hardships produce one of two states of being. A surrendered heart toward God, or a hardened heart toward God.
Applying chemicals or electricity to achieve high purity. If we choose the Lord, our Savior, to save us from our sinful state of being. If we choose to rely on him to keep us from our path of sin and death. The Holy Spirit is gifted to us by our Father in Heaven and will further refine us to a higher, purer quality of gold. The Holy Spirit will guide us and instruct us in righteousness, keeping us in right standing with God. We can then walk the narrow path of righteousness, which leads to heaven, resulting in our redemption through Christ Jesus.

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:2-3 NKJV
“Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.”
James 1:13-15 NKJV
“But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.” ames 1:14-15 NKJV
“who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” Titus 2:14 NKJV
“And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5:3-4 NKJV
“Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.” Hebrews 2:18 NIV
