Our world has erupted with divisive contention and hate.

The evil below the surface has entered the gate.

Brother against Sister, Friend against Friend

They are now foes in battle.

Will this ever end?

Many are hurt because others stood by

Applauding the rhetoric which blackened their eye.

Forgiveness is needed, Lord, this I know

How do we begin to forgive our friend who is now our foe?

Sides have been taken, each one thinking they’re right.

Each stance positioned so begins the fight.

Help us put this in your perspective, Lord.  Help us see your plan

In this division, this tear, in this chaos at hand.

Our eyes envision only what man has contrived.

Which causes anger and strife to stay alive.

Man in his glory, man’s way, man’s ordeal

What we all think is man, could very much be God’s will.

He must separate the tares from the wheat, the goats from the sheep.

In conflict, the Gospel was spread many were tried.

Disciples and prophets sacrificed and died.

Hypocrites and Pharisees have all shown their hand.

Revealing the faithful and true with Jesus, they stand. ~amk

~~~~~~~
He put forth another parable unto them, saying, “The kingdom of the heavens is likened unto a man who sows good seed in his field.  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went away. But when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit, then the tares appeared also. So, the slaves of the husband of the house came and said unto him, Lord, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? From where then does it have tares? He said unto them, “The enemy, a man, has done this.”  The slaves said unto him, “Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?”  But he said, “No, lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
Matthew 13:24-30 JUB
When the Son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him, then he shall sit upon the throne of his glory, and before him shall be gathered all nations;
and he shall separate them one from another as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats, Matthew 25:31-32 JUB
Beautifully written; the provided scripture aligns perfectly with the poetry you wrote. Both certainly lead to introspection as to our savior's true nature and his purpose. And to be honest, there is sadness in the truth of what mankind's condition is at present and the consequences of our sin that well be faced as a result. I agree that division is happening at warp speed it seems, but I am still praying for everyone to open their hearts and minds to God's/Jesus' call and let Him lead them/us to His truth. That, in a nutshell is our only hope.
